P|ge4 Obituaries.Ohumh Dlrectery  Marketplace February 13r 2003  CERVENKA Michael Lee Cervenka, age 31, went home to be with his Lord on Monday, February 10, 2003. He was born September 27, 1971, in Austin, Texas. He attended Hays ISD, Hyde Park Baptist School, and graduated from Bowie High School in 1990. Michael never knew a stranger. His personality and spirit lit up any room he entered. Michael brought joy and happi- ness to every life he touched, ahd will be missed by all who knew him. He always had an e to listen and a shoulder to lean on. Michael was a great Christian man and father, who loved his wife and family more than words can describe. He was actively involved in his church, Hays Hills Baptist Church; he was commissioner of Hays Youth Baseball, where he also coached his sons teams; he operated and was president of All Star Wireless Nextel Dealership. Michael's first love was his family, which was always visi- ble by others thlough the time, fellowship and involvement that h ,pcnt coaching, traveling, and being autiv i, every family activtty. Mich,cl loved to make a joke out of everything, and always wanted everyone to have fun. Michael shared a special relationship with his dad; they often tished, golfed, and simply were bes= fnend They enjoyed helping peopl in need. Michael was a "giver", always willing to go the extra mile for others. Michael enjoyed the numerous vacations he took with his mother, as well as the time they shared on the golf course. He was the family leader, always promoting family togetherness and family vaca- tions. Michael is survived by his wife, Shelli; sons, Mason, 9, Tanner, 4, and Caleb, 2, all of Buda; parents, Bob and Sue Cervenka, of Austin, and Dorothy Cervenka, of (JI;mbtuy; brothers, Bobby Ce  cnka, of Los Vegas, and Joe and wife Leslie Jackson, of Dripping Springs; sisters, Karen Cervenka-Hickman, of Fort Obituaries Worth, and Jill Shackelford and husband Sam, of Austin; grand- parents, Georgia Ragland, of San Angelo, and Mattaliene and Bryan Butler, of Uvalde; mother and father-in-law, Bart and Betty Swope; brother-in-law, Josh Swope; sister-in-law, Tricia Huser and husband Jarrod, all of Buda; nieces and nephews, Kyle Jackson, Beth Jackson, Kelsi Cervenka, Drew Jackson, Hannah Hickman, Madison Huser, Baley Huser, Jordan Shackelford and Ridge Shackelford; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. The loss of Michael's life will leave a void that will never be filled, but the peace we have found from this tragedy comes from knowing that he is in Heaven, rejoicing with the Lord! Hence forth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appear- ing. Matthew 5:9 Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 15, 2003, at Hays Hills Baptist Church, in Buda, with Pastor David Sweet officiating. Interment will follow at Onion Creek Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will include Brad Barnard, Monty Moulding, Bill Maulding, John Kimbro, Joe Nichols and Trey Ragsdale. In lieu of flowers, food, etc., Hays Hills Baptist Church will receive memorial donations for college funds for Mason, Tanner and Caleb. BOGENRIFE Irene Ledwig Bogenrife, 76 years old of San Antonio, TX, passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2003. She was born September 1, 1926, in George West, TX, to Thomas Ledwig and Eleanora Sprencel Ledwig. Irene was a retired accoun- tant. Irene was survived by her son, Thomas Mika of San Antonio; daughter, Pamela Mika Wolf and her husband Peter of Buda; brother, Edward "'Sonny" Ledwig of Cotulla, brother,. Anthony "'Butch" Ledwig of Medford, OK; grand- children, Jessica Hanson Wilhelm and husband Jeff of Manor, Patricia Hanson, Anna Hanson, and Carolie Wolf all of Buda; and great-grandson, Joshua Alien Wilhelm of Manor. Irene is preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Prosper A. Mika, whom she married January 20, 1947, in George West, TX; sec'pnd hus- band, Carl Bogenrife; !and two sisters. Mass was held Saturday, February 8, 2003, in Parma Maria, TX, at the St, Mary's Catholic Curch. BROWN Dorothy Mac Brown, 86, a resident of San Marcos passed away February 5, 2003. She was born May 15, 1916 in Ada, Oklahoma to Dolph and Rose (Collier) Homesley. Dorothy worked as a nurse's aid for a number of years and will be greatly missed by her friends and family. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband Harold Dudley Brown and two daughters, Eileen and Debra Brown. She is survived by her sons Ken Brown of Wimberley, Donald B. Brown or Buda; daughters Betty Sue Kennedy of Euless, Connie Joy Daughtry of Tyler; eleven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other lov- ing relatives. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 15, 2003 at the First Baptist Church in Doole, TX. In lieu of flowers Memorial contri- bgtions may be made to the Sacy Cemetery, EO. TRELLES Senora Julia Trelles, our bdoved, mother, grandmother aid great-grandmother a resi- dent of San Mottos, went peacefully to her eternal rest to b with our heavenly father on Fbruary 2, 2003 at the age of 80 years. I She is survived by her Ughter; Hortencia H. Trelles d sons; Ben H. and wife Lee n, Ruben H., Arthur and wife Kayla, Henry and wife Diana of Kyle. She is also survived by hr sisters; Candelaria Hemandez, Frances Contrearas and brother Miguel Hernandez; 19 grandchildren; 3 great-grd children; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by I her loving husband, Andres C, Trelles and brother Juan Hernandez. Burial was at St, John's Catholic Church with Rev. Kevin Manion officiating.
