Thursday nights are special at Old Settler's with a "Settle In" show on the Camp Ben stage from 4:30 p.m. to midnight. Friday after- noon features another bonus for campers -- the Camp Ben ]am from noon to 3 p.m. at the Camp Ben Stage. Friday and Saturday, three dif- ferent stages operating from 4 p.m. to midnight on Friday and 10:30 a.m. to midnight on Satur- day across the street at the Salt Lick Pavilion. After being rained out April 11, Kyle Market Days has been rescheduled for April 18 and will feature a chicken fajita backyard cook-off. The theme for this month's Market Days is "Backyard Fun." Market Days are usually held on the second Saturday of the month from April to September at the historic City Square park from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Come on out for products from local vendors, arts & crafts, farm to market items, live music and more. Car, Truck and Tractor Show Creedmoor Community Center Friends Association (CCCFA) is sponsoring a Car, Truck and Tractor Show in early May. The event includes crafts, food, music and a silent auction with free admission. Parking is also free. Takes place from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. May 2 at the Creedmoor Community Center, 12511 FM 1625. Visit www.creedmoorcommunitycfa.org for more information. Buda Country Fair and Wiener Dog Races April 25-26 Hosted by theBuda Lions Club; the Wiener Dog Races are an annual tradition in Buda. This year's theme is i"Buda Lions are Wiener Gump." In addition to the high energy races, visitors to the fair will experience cook-offs, a bake-off, a spelling bee, a pet parade and a washer tournament. Live music, food and other vendors will be on hand. Takes place at Buda City Park. Buses will run from Cabela's. Hays County Heart Walk The American Heart Association will hold its 2015 Hays County Heart Walk this Saturday. The goal is to raise $125,000 for cardiovascular disease and stroke research. Seton Medical Center Hays has participated for the last four years. This year, the hospital is a sponsor and has multiple teams participating. Vice President and COO Neal Kelley is chair of the race. Last year, SMCH raised $10,000 for the walk and is hoping to raise $12,500 tqwards the $125,000 Heart Walk Goal. More than $90,000 has already been raised. The walk takes place beginning at 9 a.m. April 18 at the San Marcos City Park Recreational Hall. Learn more at www.HaysCountyHeartWalk.org.
