Admission is $1. Stop by the Daylight Dance from 2-4 p.m. April 26 at Saint Mark's Episcopal Church in San Marcos. OPERATION Operation Turkey The Operation Turkey San Marcos benefit kicks off this weekend with live music, food and a silent auction to raise funds for the 2013 year. The event will feature local artists who are donating their efforts to the cause. Operation Turkey San Marcos is entering it's third year, providing warm food to families in need on Thanksgiving in San Marcos; the only organization provid- ing this service. Operation Turkey provides Thanks- giving meals, clothing and toiletries to the homeless and less fortunate in 30 cities nationwide. The San Marcos group doubled the number of families fed last year from the first; the goal is to expand into Kyle and other areas of Hays County. Operation Turkey San Marcos takes place from 3-8 p.m. April 28 at Zelick's in San Marcos. Ashes of Babylon (above) will perform again at this year's Foodstock, benefitting the Hays County Food Bank on April 27. This month's Foodstock concert benefitting the Hays County Food Bank will be held from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. April 27 on the court- house lawn in San Marcos. Bands will include Ashes of Babylon, Those Nights, and The Baker Family. Come join the crowd as the sound of music fills the air. Concert goers are invited to bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy the music at this family-friendly event. Each concert will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and open to the public. On April 26, hear the Cody Bryan Band.
