Don't miss it at the Ninth Annual Blanco Lavender Festival. A Lavender Market will be held on the grounds of the Old Blanco County Courthouse featuring arts and crafts and local lavender products. Enjoy presentations on bee keeping, growing and using lavender, the secret to Texas wildflowers and cooking with lavender. Visitors can also tour many of the local lavender farms and experience the beauty of lavender in the fields and the unique vision of each farmer. The event takes place starting at 11:30 a.m. June 7-9, primarily at the Old Blanco Court House. The event is free and open to the public. Complete information on the festival can be found at Grab yer partners, spin 'em round The Texas State Federation of Square & Round Dancers' 51st Annual State Festival Program will be held June 6-9 at the Embassy Suites in San Marcos. There is also a Trails Dance, Early Rounds, a Grand March, panels and exhibits, and a fashion show. There is also a Teen Lock In with food, door prizes and dancing. Approximately 800 dancers from all over the state and surrounding states will enjoy square, round, line, contra and clogging.
