If a game is played in the mid- afternoon, many stop by the restaurant to have dinner afterwards. Feltch noted the increase in sales during football weekends. Bar sales are equally high. Alcohol ven- dors notice the high volume of sales, often increasing an order when a local team is playing. While the business sees extra clientele, employees often look past any stress. "[Employees] enjoy it. It adds more excitement to their shift; it adds another realm to it," Feltch said. "They are not just waiting or not just bartending. They in- teract with guests. They en- joy it. You can tell, there's an excitement to it." Perhaps no other local business succeeds more than sports bars such as Centerfield in Kyle. While Centerfield opened in the latter stages of the 2012 football season, they were able to cash in, accord- ing to manager James Rios. "It was extremely busy [last year]," Rios said. "We anticipate more [people] this year." Rios said revenue gained from football games was at a 65 percent alcohol, 35 per- cent food rate, with beer the most popular libation. With as many as eight games on eleven televisions, Rios sees the chance for fans to catch many games simul- taneously at Centerfield - an intriguing prospect for fan- tasy football players. He hopes a new FM receiv- er in the bar will allow fans to listen to specific games at their table. The bar plans to rent out radios to guests for that purpose. Ultimately, Rios believes a sports bar represents the best chance for people to en- joy the most popular sport in the country. "The sports bar is the per- fect place for friends or fam- ily to have a beer, get some wings, and watch the game," he said. 268-4200 809 W. The Public Hearing will commence at or about 6:15 p.m. The Public Heating concerns an application submitted by Ski Quest Inc. located at 10815 FM 1625 Austin, TX 78669. Ski Quest Inc. filed a well drilling authorization application and a production per- mit application on June 26, 2013 with the Barton Springs/Edwards Aquifer Conservation District for a new nonexempt well and a Historical Saline Edwards Production Permit to withdraw an annual per- mitted volume of approximately 2,000,000 gallons per year of groundwater from the Saline Edwards Aquifer management zone. Ski Quest will operate the proposed well for commercial use to supply water to maintain a recreational water ski lake. The volume of pumpage requested was commensurate with an estimate of reasonable demand for the intended use and upon approval, would be required to comply with the provisions of a Historical Saline Edwards Production Permit. Following the public hearing, the Board will consider and may take action on the application.
